There is a legend associated with the Stawa Młyny.
When Świnoujście became a port city, its inhabitants started working on ships, going on long voyages. The wives waited for the sailors who returned exhausted and aged. One of them, despairing with the appearance of her beloved man, went to the seashore at night and cried. A mysterious voice told her to seek help in the windmill standing behind her, from which the old miller emerged. He ordered her to come with her husband the next day, then he ordered him to take mud baths, to take a bath in the sea and going for a walk alongside the beach. A week later, he took him to the windmill. After some time, the sailor came out of the mill rejuvenated. Other sailors soon started visiting the windmill. However, when the old miller died, it turned out that no one knows the secrets of his treatments, and the windmill's mechanism stopped. Nevertheless, people hungry for rejuvenation continued to come - and also do today - to Świnoujście to splash themselves with mud, swim and walk along the sea.
